NEW song Jungle doctors// Late lyric analysis

"You're not a boy Not living in a child's world no more You're not a boy What good are your for? Everything you left, that has gone You left it all beyond You're not a boy"

Our own interpretation after analysing the song lyrics is that its a song based on the transition from adolescence to adulthood and the difficulties of letting go of ones youth. We were lucky enough to have an actual insight into the meaning behind the song and found that its about one of the band members still acting like a child despite his age. 'Not living in a child's world no more', this verse was particularly beneficial to us when it came to filming because we had the idea in mind that filming in central London (a place where people in uniform go to their serious mundane jobs and other people get on with their day to day business) could contrast to the actors in the video because they're having fun and doing youthful things like cycling and hanging out with friends as if it were the weekend which contrasts to the black and white feel of the London landmarks and business people. It provides our music genre a refreshing interpretation of a video that would otherwise be found in a pop video.

Research & Planning: Day 2 Behind The Scenes (Jodie & Ciara)

Research & Planning: Planning Group Chat (Jodie)

We created a media group chat on Whatsapp to make it easy to organ filming days, tell each other any new ideas and ensure we were all up to date on any changes.

Research & Planning: Day 1 Behind The Scenes (Jodie)

For practical reasons I filmed this section of the video of my phone. As I would be filming in a club bringing a DSLR camera along with me could lead to it getting damaged or stolen. Apple has equipped the iPhone 6 with an 8-megapixel main camera.

I tried to film as steady as possible while holding my phone and attempted to sit it on a table and film in some cases to try and achieve more stabilised footage.
We asked for audience feedback and 100% of those asked couldn't tell that the footage had been filmed on a phone.

Research & Planning: Contacting Actors (Jodie)

Our idea included a number of actors, therefore, we enlisted the help from our friends, that we knew would be willing to take part.

Research & Planning: Actors (Jodie)

For our narrative we aimed to follow a couple, however, following the same couple around for the duration of the video could become dull. Therefore, we chose three couples, each leading different paths and incorporated them into our video.

Couple 1: Patrick & Catherine
We are using two very close friends, they both take A level drama so we had confidence that they would be able to take filming seriously and act as if they are in a real relationship.
Their part is set in central London, this allowed us to interwove their footage with time lapses of London City which helped us experiment with the movement and pace of the video.

Couple 2: Dan & Megan
For our second couple, we asked our friends who are actually in a relationship to take part. For their scene we chose a Skate Park location, this is very relatable for our target audience (teenagers), furthermore, using a skate park allowed to capture many shots, filming the skateboarders from all angles.

Couple 3: Joe & Marcella
Joe and Marcella are also close friends of ours and are in a relationship. As they know Dan & Megan we decided to shoot with all four of them in a park, we found this looked more natural. Filming with all together made them more comfortable and less aware of the camera. Also, the idea of friends hanging out in a park is very relatable to our target audience.

Couple 4: Etienne & Hanna

Lastly, we asked another couple we know if we could include them in our video. As I was already out in a club with them I discretely filmed at moments that they were unaware of what I was doing, this made the footage look more realistic and natural. Clubbing is also very common among teens, this causes it to be more relatable for our audience.

Construction: Logos (David)

The 3 different logo styles created to see which one was the best to use on our digipak. All 3 were made using Adobe Photoshop.

After getting audience feedback we decided to use style No. 3 as we feel it looks professional and simple, that suits our style of digipak. Furthermore if we used a black and white digipak cover it would fit in fine without ruining the look of the digipak
